Mussanah

Mussanah Sailing School is based in the state-of-the-art marina and water sports centre at the luxurious four-star Barcelo Mussanah Resort, 85km north of Muscat. Purpose built to Olympic standards, it is an ideal events location and offers a wide range of water sports, recreational activities and a range of amenities in the most modern of settings.

Marina Bandar Al-Rowdha

Located just south of Oman’s capital city, Muscat, is the venue of the first sailing school established by Oman Sail. Marina Bandar Al-Rowdha offers a warm welcome at its modern facility in a traditional setting.

Sur

The newest of Oman Sail’s schools is housed in a state-of-the-art facility located in Sur marina. Sur Sailing School was founded as a result of an ambitious and strong alliance forged between Oman Sail and Oman LNG to promote youth development.

New to Sailing?

With Oman's picture-perfect coastline, ideal wind conditions and warm waters year-round, the Sultanate is an ideal place to start learning.

Our Sailing Courses are available to all aged 7+ and are taught in English or Arabic by fully qualified instructors.

  • Try Sailing (2 hours)
  • Learn to sail – Level 1*
  • Level 2
  • Level 3
  • Having completed level 3, you may hire boats from Oman Sail, or continue lessons in Racing, Spinnakers and Seamanship skills.

After Try Sailing, each course is 10 hours long and can be completed over two days (at the weekend or mid-week) or can be split over four morning/afternoon sessions.

*Young Omanis aged 7-10 can access Level 1 at Oman Sail’s Sailing Schools if they attend lessons during school time. This introduces them to the basics of sailing for free.
