Oman Sail’s senior professional sailors seek adventure: crossing oceans at breakneck speeds, pushing boundaries and breaking records, whilst battling extreme fatigue and challenging weather conditions. Our athletes travel all over the world participating in international regattas, where they are pitted against the forces of nature for the day - or sometimes weeks - at a time.

To date, Oman Sail has trained an Omani to become the first Arab to sail non-stop around the world. The Sultanate has become the most successful nation to compete in the coveted Extreme Sailing Series™ and our MOD70 team, featuring 50% Omani crew, has broken three world records for Oman.

Whether competing in long distance races far out of sight of land, or participating in some of the most exciting inshore racing championships in the world - with 40 foot high performance catamarans hurtling around tight racing courses – Oman Sail’s senior crews continue to deliver magnificent achievements, becoming role models for the next generation and national heroes in their own right.
